Which One is Right for You?
External sensors are easy to install DIY and are one-size-fits-most. Simply screw off the cap on your tyre’s valve stem and screw this on. It doubles as both a cap and wireless sensor. It’s designed to lock solidly in place and provide temperature and pressure monitoring in real time. The battery on the sensors typically lasts 2 years and is replaceable - making it a sustainable choice.
Internal sensors are harder to install and require specialized skills and tools. However, they are locked into position and the battery lasts 5 years making them ideal for those who want to set and forget for a long time.
For long vehicles or those towing trailers (with monitoring distances over 10 meters), installing a signal booster is strongly recommended. Vehicles equipped with high-powered electromagnetic devices - such as high-frequency dash cams - a booster is recommended. This ensures strong, reliable signal transmission from sensors to the monitor, delivering accurate and timely readings regardless of distance or interference. A booster can always be added later to improve the signals.
