Taking the Pressure Off Tyre Check

TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems) are complete solutions designed to monitor the air pressure in your tyres in real-time, ensuring optimal performance and safety. By using sensors mounted on each tyre, TPMS provides accurate and reliable pressure readings and alerts drivers to underinflation, overinflation, or sudden pressure loss. Proper tyre pressure is critical for reducing wear and tear, improving fuel efficiency, and preventing blowouts or accidents. For truck, trailer, and fleet operators, installing a TPMS is not just a safety measure—it’s a smart investment. It helps minimise downtime, extend tyre life, and save on maintenance costs, all while keeping your vehicles and cargo safe on the road. Stay ahead with TPMS technology and drive with confidence.

Promata Truck Sensors

Promata offers both Internal and External Truck Sensors. Our truck sensors provide reliable readings from 0-203 PSI / 0-14 BAR for pressure and 0-120°C / 32-248°F for temperature, while giving you the option to choose whichever setup is most suitable for you!

Internal sensors are installed with a clamp around the tyre rim inside your tyre. External sensors are screwed onto the valve cap.

You can even mix and match depending on your preferred setup!

TPMS FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Promata TPMS kits for Mining or other Heavy Vehicle Application

Of course! Our TPMS are desinged with the roughest applications in mind. Our truck sensors are built to monitor 0-203 PSI and withstand long lasting use.

Our kits have been installed on many mining vehicles, ensuring vehicle and driver safety.

How does a Tyre Pressure Monitor System Work?

A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) uses sensors to monitor the air pressure inside vehicle tyres. It alerts the driver in real-time if the tyre pressure drops below a safe level, enhancing safety and fuel efficiency. TPMS sensors can be external, mounted on valve caps, or internal, installed inside the tyre. These sensors transmit data wirelessly to a display unit, ensuring drivers are informed of tyre conditions and can take action to prevent accidents or damage.

What is the battery life for Promata TPMS sensors?

Battery life depends on usage. External battery life is 2 years. Internal battery life is 5 years.

Are replacement Promata TPMS sensors available?

Yes, replacement sensors can be purchased here. These sensors are universal and do not have location marks. You can program/pair the spare to that location.

What are the Benefits of Using Tyre Pressure Monitors?

Extends Tyre Life: Proper tyre pressure ensures even distribution of wear, preventing premature damage to the tread and sidewalls. Underinflated or overinflated tyres can cause uneven wear, reducing their lifespan. By using a TPMS to maintain optimal pressure, you can significantly prolong the durability of your tyres, saving money on replacements.

Fuel Efficiency: Maintaining correct tyre pressure reduces rolling resistance, ensuring that your vehicle uses less fuel to move. Low tyre pressure increases drag, causing the engine to work harder and burn more fuel. A TPMS helps drivers optimise tyre pressure, leading to better fuel economy and reduced environmental impact.

Reduces Driving Risk: Low or high tyre pressure increases the likelihood of tyre failure, such as blowouts, which can result in dangerous driving conditions. A TPMS provides real-time alerts about pressure issues, allowing drivers to address them promptly. This enhances vehicle stability, braking performance, and overall safety on the road.
