Warranty Against Defects
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in “Promata” branded physical products contained in its original packaging (“Promata Automotive”) that are authorised and sold by Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd and paid for by the consumer. The product is guaranteed against defects for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.
This warranty is provided by Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd ABN 68 149 201 623 of 407/480 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065 Ph: (02) 9929 9048. In the event that you purchased a “Promata” product from another reseller, you must consult your reseller for their warranty terms and policies.
To claim under this warranty, return the full product in original packaging to 407/480 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065. You will also need to provide your receipt or proof of purchase. Additional information may be requested of you to process your claim. If genuine fault due to material and workmanship is found, Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd will accept the warranty claim and repair or replace the item at its own expense.
Important: This product may need to be sent to the manufacturer to assess the defect before determining any claim. Faults or defects caused by product modification, misuse and abuse, normal wear and tear or failure to follow user instructions are not covered under this warranty. Please note that batteries and harnesses are not covered under the warranty. Expenses incurred by the customer claiming the warranty and getting the product to Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd will be borne by the consumer.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the goods and services to which this warranty relates.
Other Terms
You are entitled to the products and its warranty if and only if you have paid for the product – i.e. payment to Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd, who is the host and maintainer of this website. If you have not paid for the product, you must return it immediately or make payment immediately upon notice.
If you owe Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd payment for previous purchases (identified by Billing address), and have not yet paid back, you agree that Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd may refuse all orders from this Billing address without legal consequence.
